A globular bubble glass table lamp designed by Max Ingrand for the renowned French glass company, Saint-Gobain. This stunning lamp features an organic form, chiseled glass piece that rests upon a round, nickel-plated brass base with notch details. The textured, turquoise hued glass is illuminated beautifully by a lightbulb recessed in the base of the lamp. Saint-Gobain maker’s mark present along the base. France, 1960s.
Max Ingrand is a renowned French master glassmaker and decorator trained at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. Ingrand directed his specialization toward the decorative arts, under the guidance of great artists such as Jacques Grüber and Charles Lemaresquier. He has created numerous glass projects for religious buildings, hotels, and public environments, and has been awarded La Legion d’Honor in France.
Saint-Gobain has been manufacturing glass in a small village in northern France since 1693.

CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. A new socket and cord with switch has been added by our team of restorationists. Accepts one light bulb. Saint-Gobain maker’s mark present along base.
